Brilliant YA debut novel. Was happy to stay awake to finish this (5am). It was very different to what I usually read. The story flowed so well it could easily be read on one sitting at only 257 pages. The protagonist is a 14 year girl and a double leg amputee; in children's care home after losing her mum in a car accident. She resigns herself to never being fostered but then the perfect family come along....A great easy read 5*❤️📚

Suet624 I wish there were YA books when I was growing up. So many good ones available now. 7y
DeborahSmall @Suet624 so true! I was reading Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes at 11/12, it would have been amazing to read the YA I'm now reading as an adult. I pass mystery/thrillers to my 11 year old that are age appropriate and he seems to enjoy them more than the YA I buy him. Although I hope he likes this one💞 7y

#currentlyreading I'm already more than halfway through this as it's only 250 pages. Great YA novel. And great to see an author from NI writing about something other than 'the troubles' 📚👍🏼❤️
