pickI loved this book. It is most valuable for its advice on how to deal with the other humans involved in producing written material. This is exactly the book I needed to read at this stage of my career. 5⭐️
Was very excited to discover that the library had ordered The Subversive Copy Editor (second edition). It's been on my to-read list for a while 😊
pickI enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It has a ton of advice and direction for fledgling copy editors, a chapter written towards authors who may not know what copy editors are good for, and solid general advice on business skills, communication and decorum. It is highly readable with a bit of humour and a worthwhile read for anyone in publishing.
This is what happens when you rely on spell check rather than a competent copy editor.
