This book, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, is a traditional folktale book. This book is about a little girl, Goldilocks, who enters the house of the three bears. This fairytale shares Goldilock's journey in the bears house. The tale provides a moral of the story which is to never enter someone's house without permission.

Because this story has so many adaptations and is such a classic students will enjoy any version you read to them. It could also be a good idea to read various versions and compare and contrast them in a fairy tale unit since so many fairy tales have so many different versions.

The moment when the Three Bears come home from their adventure out and notice that their porridge is eaten, one of their chairs is broken, and there is a little girl in one of their beds without being invited in.

This story is a fairy tale. This is a fairy tale because no bear lives in a house with clothing and furniture. This story is about a girl named Goldilocks who is a little girl who does not have any manners. She walks right into the bears house without even knocking and eats their porridge, sits in their chairs, and sleeps in each of the beds.

I would use this book in my classroom to teach children the importance of never entering into someone else's home or property without their permission. Also, the importance of not intruding someone's privacy.

The type of literature this book uses is folklore and fairy tales. It uses folklore but encompasses the traditional story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Finally, this story is a fairytale because it is a magical story.

I would read “Goldilocks and the Three Bears“ in my classroom to not only expose my students to classic and famous fairy tale traditional literature, but also to teach them the importance of respecting personal space and privacy. This is an example of a beast tale as the characters are bears. And an example of a fairy tale since there are talking bears doing human things and talking with a human girl. There are some cumulative parts because the words “somebody sat in my chair“ and many other phrases are repeated throughout the book.

“Then Goldilocks tasted the porridge in the little bowl, and it was just right -- neither too hot nor too cold.“

This is a great fantasy book to tell to young children. The story follows a theme as Goldilocks states something is “too _____“. Once the bears come home they state “Somebody has been _____...“. And so on.

“Goldilocks and the Three Bears“ is a beast tale. In this beast tale, the animals are the principal players in the story. In this story, Goldilocks goes into the bear's house and goes through all their things while they are gone. The bears come home to find their things all misplaced and Goldilocks taking a nap in one of their beds.

I enjoyed reading this book because I am familiar with the story, I liked how some of the details were different but the basis of the story was the same. I also enjoyed analyzing the illustrations because looks of design elements come into play to create the whole image.

This book is a retelling of the classic story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The story is very similar to the original one. The illustrations in this story use line to show movement. They also use shape to carry the message of big, bigger and biggest. This tory uses color to convey the personality of the three bears, the daddy bear has darker, more neutral colors, the mommy bear has brighter colors, and the baby bear has all colors.

“What a sweet child,“ said someone new in town. “That's what you think,“ said a neighbor.

I like at the beginning when the neighbor tells someone else that they only think Goldilocks is sweet.

I enjoyed this version of the classic story. James Marshall did an excellent job showing how ornery and mischievous Goldilocks is in the story through his illustrations. It is a classic tale and this version of the story is another good addition.

This is a great selection for an intro into fairy tales. It is a cult classic and the students can put their own twist on the story.

I remember hearing this story growing up! This book is TL and is lovely book for S. In the story you learn about Goldilocks and how easy it was for her to break the rules. This book won a Caldecott Award. The UDL Principle used is (9.3) self assessment and reflection, student can reflect on how this story is different from the Goldilocks story they heard growing up.

“Someone's lying in my bed... and she's still there!“ This is my favorite quote and is at the climax of the story when Goldilocks gets caught.

I would definitely keep this in my library if I was teaching a class of first graders or kindergarteners. It's right around their reading level.
