Has anyone else read this? I'm trying to get through it, hoping the relentless horror show will end with the ocean voyage, but I'm neither sure if I can make it or if it will even be worth it if i do.

I'm not sure I can get through this one. The best I can say is it seems a stomach-wrenchingly accurate representation of the Atlantic slave trade. In this context it's hard to listen to Flashman's "voice" spouting "slut", "buck" and "N". Nothing redeeming, entertaining or even educational here. It's brilliantly done but it hurts.
