Cherringham - Murder on Thames
Cherringham - Murder on Thames: A Cosy Crime Series | Neil Richards, Matthew Costello
2 posts | 4 read | 10 to read
Cherringham - a quiet town in the Cotswolds. Nothing ever happens there, or so it seems - until one morning a woman's body is found in the river. A terrible accident, according to the police. But is this true? Sarah believes there must be more to it. In Jack, a former NYPD homicide detective, she finds a partner who is willing to start investigating with her. They soon find out that things are not as clear as the police want them to be ... This first - of many cases brings Sarah and Jack together in an unlikely partnership. Cherringham is a serial novel à la Charles Dickens, with a new mystery thriller released each month. Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa. For fans of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series, Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who series, Caroline Graham's Midsomer Murders, and the American TV series Murder She Wrote, starring Angela Lansbury. Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), are known for their script work on major computer games. The Cherringham crime series is their first fictional transatlantic collaboration.

Congrats on your anniversaries, @rachelo!
If you enjoy cozy mysteries, I would suggest the Cherringham series (the first book is tagged). They're brief but charming little books and perfect in between denser stuff.

I'd be most interested in Defy the Worlds. Thanks for the chance at your #inbetween giveaway. 😊

rockpools Thank you 😊. I hadn't heard of these - but I do like to find a cosy series I can come back to. Thanks for entering! 7y

Pickpick

This was a nice little Cozy mystery. Nothing fancy, but I enjoyed Sara and Jack, the main characters who together solve the mystery of a drowned woman. As interesting as the mystery is the development of the characters of Sara and Jack as well as their possible romance. There are many more books in this series and I look for to reading more to see where their relationship goes.

Reviewsbylola It's always fun to find a new series you enjoy! 8y
