Some Kind of Hero
Some Kind of Hero: A Troubleshooters Novel | Suzanne Brockmann
7 posts | 6 read
The Troubleshooters return in the latest thriller from New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann! Some Kind of Hero showcases Brockmanns signature white-knuckle suspense, romantic twists, and sexy Navy SEALs. Navy men dont come tougher than Lieutenant Peter Greene. Every day he whips hotshot SEAL wannabes into elite fighters. So why cant he handle one fifteen-year-old girl? His exs death left him a single dad overnight, and very unprepared. Though he cant relate to an angsty teen, he can at least keep Maddie safeuntil the day she disappears. Though Petes lacking in fatherly intuition, his instinct for detecting danger is razor sharp. Maddies in trouble. Now he needs the Troubleshooters team at his back, along with an unconventional ally. Romance writer Shayla Whitman never expected to be drawn into a real-world thrilleror to meet a hero who makes her pulse pound. Action on the page is one thing. Actually living it is another story. Shays not as bold as her heroines, but shes a mother. She sees the panic in her new neighbors usually fearless blue eyesand knows theres no greater terror for a parent than having a child at risk. Its an ordeal Shay wont let Pete face alone. Shes no highly trained operative, but shes smart, resourceful, and knows what makes teenagers tick. Still, working alongside Pete has its own perilslike letting the heat between them rise out of control. Intimate emotions could mean dangerous, even deadly, consequences for their mission. No matter what, they must be on top of their game, and playing for keeps . . . or else Petes daughter may be gone for good. Praise for Suzanne Brockmann Brockmann strikes the perfect balance between white-knuckle suspense and richly emotional romance.Chicago Tribune Brockmann is a master of adventure, drama, passion, and suspense. The Tampa Tribune [Brockmann] brilliantly combines superbly crafted, realistically complex characters with white-knuckle plotting.Booklist

Ridiculously excited to start reading this book on my off day. I have had it for months from NetGalley and I am just getting around to reading it. Bad reader! 😃

This months' PageHabit Romance box! The book light and notebook will come in handy, and I've never read this author before. Have any of you? No idea what she'll be like, though I know she's popular.

charminggoats I love her books! She does a lot of Navy SEAL books, but they're usually a little different than the others. I've fallen in love with the characters each time. Only downside is most are in a series and it gets a little difficult to remember who is who unless you binge read them. 7y
silentrequiem She's one of my favorite authors! I finished this a few weeks back and loved it! 7y
LauraBrook Oh, yay! Glad to hear you both like her so much, @charminggoats and @silentrequiem ! Part of me wants to start this right away, but I'm reading almost 20 right now, so.... maybe? 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄😁 7y

Okay, so I couldn't wait until the weekend and started last night, looked up and it was 3AM. Finished today after work. Very fun! It's been awhile since I've read a Troubleshooters book, and it was good to be back in this world. But looks like I missed a few books/novellas/stories so will have to catch up!

I was at Walmart (yeah, I KNOW. Work ordered something I had to pick up from there) and found the new Brockmann on the shelf nearly 2 weeks before it's release date! I am beyond excited for a new Troubleshooters novel! #weekendplans
