Mehso-so

I didn't love the pacing of this one or the structure, really. But part one made this book worth it. An interesting memoir ( I just didn't get a True Crime vibe).

Mehso-so

This was just so-so. In some places, the prose was really beautiful and spare; in others, it felt dry. The author weaves parts of Wyatt Earp's life into the story, since he and his mother lived in Tombstone, and it can feel a little jarring to be taken out of his story into Earp's story. In the end, I'm not sure it adds much to the book. Much of the book is a lovely but complicated remembrance of his mother, who sounds like quite a woman. 3 stars.

Just started this, the latest of my true crime kick. Also intrigued because of the Tombstone, Arizona connection.
