Pickpick

For the month of February, I decided I'd read all pink books - and then I picked up a book with a purple spine 😂 Luckily I did because I loved Dinner at Roses - such a beautiful story, sometimes emotional, sometimes cheesy but so so good. The characters are so interesting and relatable and it was such a great read! Definitely recommended! 📚

It's clear, I have a new auto read author Danielle Hawkins just has a way about her writing. This is her first book and it feels so settled and comfortable. I love the snapshot of dairy farming life and a sweet romance and a love of a family for a matriarch. So much love

danistclair Habe you read Chocolate Cake for Breakfast yet? That's my favourite or hers. Wish she had more books in her back list! 7y
Michelle_mck @danistclair I just borrowed it from the library I'm trying to resist reading it right away, I can't resist 7y
danistclair @Michelle_mck Don't try to resist, it's futile! I'm impressed your Australian library has them, mine certainly didn't I bought them on trips back to NZ because I was having trouble finding them in Sydney. I think Pretty Delicious is more widely available in Aus though. 7y
Michelle_mck @danistclair Cananda Bay is a fairly good library, I hadn't heard of Danielle Hawkins until I saw the book listed in the back of The Dangers of Truffle Hunting - still haven't read that but loving these! 7y
danistclair @Michelle_mck Canada Bay is a great library! I used to go there to study in days gone by. But I'm appreciating all Sydney libraries in retrospect because apparently in Germany (or at least in this town) you have to pay to be a member of the city library 😒 7y
