Changes are happening below Lake Superior's surface. The invasive species have grown in size and the balance of the eco-systems is in danger. Meranda Michael's, a young biologist, lands a job collecting data onboard a floating research lab on the biggest of the five great lakes. On her way out to tour the lab with her extremely handsome new boss, they get caught between two super storm cells, and their boat sinks. Hypothermia sets in and Meranda surrenders as the last bubble escapes from her mouth. She is at peace and ready to join her parents and Mitch, her soulmate, in the afterlife. Until, she awakes in a cave....
