When the Grits Hit the Fan | Maddie Day
4 posts | 6 read | 3 to read
Despite the bitter winter in South Lick, Indiana, business is still hot at Robbie Jordans restaurant. But when another murder rattles the small town, can Robbie defrost the motives of a cold-blooded killer? Before she started hosting dinners for Indiana Universitys Sociology Department at Pans N Pancakes, Robbie never imagined scholarly meetings could be so hostile. Its all due to Professor Charles Stilton, who seems to thrive on heated exchanges with his peers and underlings, and tensions flare one night after he disrespects Robbies friend, graduate student Lou. So when Robbie and Lou go snowshoeing the next morning and find the contentious academic frozen under ice, police suspect Lou might have killed him after their public tiff. To prove her friends innocence, Robbie is absorbing local gossip about Professor Stiltons past and developing her own thesis on the homicideeven if that means stirring up terrible danger for herself along the way . . .

This series is turning out to be just the right cozy mystery. Maddie Day has you continually guessing the "who done it"
Just when Robnie was getting settled, another murder interrupts her plan of operation.

This series is ok. I feel like I have to finish it through but I'm not sure I really want to.

Found this little guy on my #AudioWalk today. No clue how I spotted him. I was just happy I didn't come across a rattle snake. They have been all over Folsom this year. 😱

This is book #14 for the year and I just adored it! This cozy mystery series keeps getting better and better. I read this one in under two days which should tell you just how much I enjoyed it. A solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. Now I just have to patiently wait for book four!
