Sigh* I keep suggesting these books, but I have no idea how long it takes a suggestion to be approved, so I'll just tag random books in the series. Riot was excellent. I absolutely agree though, it has to be read in reading order, I might have been at least put off without the rest of the series. It was a really cute story about second chances and I'm looking forward to the rest of the Predators MC additions.

CocoReads Hostage was my fave of the predators. Because Jackal. I‘m into him almost as much as I‘m into Shade. But more because I think him and Penni are terrific together. 6y

theresidentromantic @CocoReads I wish she did a lot of build up for more of the characters. I've found that the characters I look forward too, Shade and Lily, Lucky and Willa, and Jackal and Penni all stem from build up. Characters that haven't had that, like Cash and Rachel, have fallen a little flat for me. 6y

CoverToCoverGirl Hostage is my fav Predators book too! I agree that one of the things I love about Begley‘s writing are the snippets and tidbits she doles out over several books about future storylines involving characters we come to love. @CocoReads (edited) 6y

This review is for King, the third book in this series, but it's not on Litsy. I thought it was one of the weaker books of the Last Riders series as a whole, but the second best of the VIP trilogy. I liked King well enough, but I wasn't a fan of this Evie. I felt like she was really different from the girl I'd met in the other books. But we have a new villian and I'm ready for Cash (but on a train to Lucky)! 🏍️😈

theresidentromantic @CocoReads I think the fact that it's revealed she's hiding her pain in sex and not actually taking pleasure in it takes away from her previous defense of the club's habits. I liked Evie, don't get me wrong, she just felt different to me. 6y

CocoReads That makes sense. I felt bad that it was that way for her, but I know someone who does that too so it didn‘t feel different for me. And King, I started out not liking him (because he‘s an ass) but he wound up being ok to me. 6y

theresidentromantic @CoverToCoverGirl with the new villian? No, I was talking about Merrick's horrid wife. I don't think I'll regret it! I have Lucky and Willa to look forward too!! I just feel like we've been introduced to the club as having a particular attitude toward sex and then kind of ditching that belief system, one by one. I love the couples, it's more the author I feel do this. Like she took a leap and then didn't want to jump. 6y

So I read them in one day and they have one plot so I thought one review would do. Vida was a breath of fresh air and was totally different than Begley's other ladies. I adored her. I did not enjoy Sawyer. Colton and Kaden were both ok, I'd like an update if Kaden gives Colton some tips. I'm also a little salty rn cause Amazon ruined the twist to these books when I bought the next one. Amazon needs a spoiler filter!

The build up....the deed....🔥🔥🔥 I even appreciated the epilogue, although it‘s way in the future and so doesn‘t resolve the mystery. But now there‘s only one book separating me from Shade. And another step closer to the mystery.

So I've been listening to this in the car to and from work with Boy in the car with me. All he had to say was that it's 'overtly sexual' and 'not real'. Of course it's not real! It's a fantasy! 😂
