The Legend of the Lady Slipper
The Legend of the Lady Slipper | Lise Lunge-Larsen
1 post | 1 read
Never pick a lady slipper. If any part is picked, the entire flower dies. And it grows there, in the northern woods, to mark the courage and strength of a small girl who lived long ago—a girl who saved all of her people from a terrible disease by listening carefully to the whispering snow, the rumbling ice, and the dancing northern lights.

BrielleR She frees herself from the snow, & cuts her bare feet! She can't find her moccasins anywhere so she begins the journey back home. Her bleeding feet making a trail behind her, she reaches her village & her family is cured! Once her feet heal & the winter melts into spring, her & her brother go to look for her moccasins, & in their place is a beautiful patch of lady slipper flowers! 8y
EthanH Sounds mad intense, but I'm getting the Moana vibe. 8y
