“When the cazuela was finally ready, everyone said gracias for the arroz con leche that the campesina stirred.“
“When the cazuela was finally ready, everyone said gracias for the arroz con leche that the campesina stirred.“
A tale about the Cazuela that the farm maiden stirred. As the story goes on, we get to see several events that had to take place before the pot could be stirred.
The Cazuela That The Farm Maiden Stirred was written by Samantha R. Vamos and illustrated by Rafael Lopez. The illustrations in the book are bright, fun, and full of life. I really like how detailed the pictures are and display an accurate representation of what is going on within the story. The book starts off by talking about “the pot that the farm maiden stirred.“ Throughout the story we get the back story about several events that lead to it.
The Cazuela that the farm maiden stirred published in 2011 was a very cute read. It was so easy to follow along given each sentence was added on the the previous one. The illustrations also made the story more enjoyable.
I love the meaning of getting together and helping to create a cultural meal.
This book is about the farm maiden who lives in a Hispanic culture. The book was published in 2011 and includes Spanish vocabulary in a way that builds on top of what was previously said. The colors are incredibly happy and the help from the farm animals allows for the recipe to work.
I read to L everyday, often multiple times a day, so we've been getting books from the library and I love my new exposure as an adult to this story form and observing her responses to the stories, illustrations, and ways that I read them. Plus many of the books are helping me learn Spanish (in addition to using Duolingo). #picturebooks #librarylove
