The Grandmother: A Story of Country Life in Bohemia | 
Gave up on the other grandmother book and started this one, which is much more to my taste. Božena Němcová is a famous 19th-century #Czech author (she's on the 500 Koruna banknote). The book title says it all 😠Lovely sense of time and place. As expected in this kind of work, a lot of religiosity.
