I won't say this was the best book I ever read, but it wasn't bad! It did take me forever to read it, though. I didn't find it to be a slow read, but I've been busy lately and would pick it up and read a chapter at a time. I've had this book for years and never read it for some reason

John is a master forger with unhappy criminal associates, a drug habit and a tendency to overdose when he gets a migraine; a habit which means that he must continually change identity to avoid being sectioned. A gripping little story told in the first person by a narrator of uncertain reliability as he seeks to be released from a mental facility and reunite with the girl who is the love of his life. I am still trying to process the ending which is
