Under the dust jacket, the cover is stunning, too. Definitely worth the investment. 😍

I splurged on the preorder of the complete Sons of Ares comics. Signed by #Howler1. I love that he included a little note, not just his signature.

I had a "bite my nose off to spite my face" moment this week. I pre-ordered this comic from the publisher, and as of yesterday my order status was still "in process", meaning they didn't have it in stock to ship. I decided "screw you, I'll just buy it from Amazon" and canceled my pre-order. Umm...Amazon only has it electronically. I made my 1st trip to a brick&mortar shop today who was sold out. So, e-comic it is and I'll read it on my iPad. ?

Ok, confession. I interrupted my regularly scheduled reading to devour Pierce Brown's Red Rising: Son of Ares #1. It's a prequel to his blockbuster Red Rising trilogy. It's also the best way to distract & entertain yourself while waiting for Iron Gold. If you're a fan of the trilogy, you'll like Sons of Ares which tells the story of Fitchner au Barca. If you're new to this world, start with the books & then return to this. You won't be sorry.
