The Spouse and I are buddy reading Journey to the West this year. 💕 (The unabridged and revised 4 volume Anthony C. Yu translation, since that looks to be 100% the best option for those who can‘t read the original.)
We‘re spending February and March on volume one. Currently in the 100 page introduction. 😅

My box set of Journey to the West. It's shelved with my books on Buddhism but it's actually Chinese mythology. The first book tells of the birth of the Monkey King. I haven't read the other volumes yet.
