Collected in a single volume for the first time, the first critically beloved work from the creators of The Wicked + the Divine. Includes RUE BRITANNIA, THE SINGLES CLUB and THE IMMATERIAL GIRL, with RUE BRITANNIA coloured for the first time. The world where Music Is Magic has never looked better.

IMO this was a case of a story being too smart for its own good. Music = magic is a great concept... but there was a whole lot of music... and very little magic. Characters also had amazingly interesting backstories that were alluded to CONSTANTLY, but never shown... the storytelling just fell flat.

Pickpick

I think if I'd discovered Phonogram when I was 18, it would have changed my life. At 26, I still think it's great, but not in the same worldshaking way.

I finally looked at comiXology's big Image sale, and WOW. Everything's so cheap! I splurged and got my very own copies of the latest two volumes of THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, the 1831 one shot, the first two volumes of PAPER GIRLS, and THE COMPLETE PHONOGRAM. (I already have the first volume of PHONOGRAM, but it's b&w and the omnibus contains a new coloured edition.) Seven trades and a single issue for less than $24 CAD (or $18 USD)! I'm excited.

the-flashley Man, now I have to go spend money. 😂😅 7y
xicanti @The-Flashley at least everything's so cheap that you won't have to spend very much! 7y
the-flashley Very true! I didn't even know The Wicked + The Divine had any one-shots. I'll have to go check that out. Lol 7y
xicanti @The-Flashley there've been two so far: the 1831 one and one from (I think) 455, but the latter just came out so it's not part of the sale. Next time! 7y
the-flashley Hmm, well I love the series so I'll take anything I can get! 7y
