A beautiful setting for a beautifully and honestly told rendition of the death of a loved one. It brought me so close to the turmoil I felt when my grandmother was the hospital and seemed to be better one day and then far worse the next. Thank God she pulled through intact but I'm thankful this book exists.

Hour 7 and counting... Oh man- sometimes I just laugh at myself. This is what I am carrying around today because I am switching up locations for this @24in48 readathon because it's a stunning day outside and I need material at the ready to keep the forward motion. So I am lugging these around today like a security blanket. 🤣😂

Day 3- book buying extravaganza at Powell's comes to an end with a back breaking conclusion. I'm wiped out but thrilled with all my purchases.

When someone you love dies you pay for the sin of outliving her with a thousand piercing regrets. Her death brings to light her unique quality; she grows as vast as the world that her absence annihilates for her and whose whole existence was caused by her being there...
