The #AdventPromptoftheDay is:

🎄What‘s the most memorable book cover you‘ve seen recently? Why?

Answer in the comments ⬇️ or post and tag 💜

AnnCrystal Gothikana by Runyx, the edition with the single rose and the gates that lead into the school...it had been a book purchased because of its cover art 😂🤩📚🎨💝.

The inside pages were also beautifully mysterious...

#gothikanareviewedbyanncrystal

...and I still love the dedication page...

https://www.litsy.com/web/post/2725031

The sex scenes were a bit annoying, but the storyline was intriguing & I can't wait for the 2nd book to be announced.

🎄 What book altered your entire existence? Can you pinpoint how or why?

Answer in the comments ⬇️ or post and tag 💜

vivastory I have a few answers, most from childhood:
*Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.(W/ the original illustrations)
*Where the Sidewalk Ends: for the wordplay & showing me what is possible with language
*Choose Your Own Adventure: No notes needed
*Hinton: Outsiders (Reading *way* ahead of the assignment)
*Book read as an adult that I feel really deepened my understanding, and therefore changed me-Stamped from etc

BethM Th witch of blackbird pond was the first chapter book I remember reading on my own and it was a totally immersive experience. It taught me escape. 3d
BethM @vivastory Scary Stories single handedly prevented me ever reading more horror. For some reason I read all of them even though they gave me horrific nightmares. I‘ll never understand what the adults were thinking 😂 3d

Pickpick

This was a lovely (and short!) read about how reciprocity, abundance, cooperation, collaboration, and sharing are better for Earth and all its inhabitants than the current economy based on extraction, exploitation, commodification, scarcity, and personal ownership.

It‘s a much needed message of hope. We can all be a little more like the serviceberry in our relationships.

The audiobook, narrated by the author, is highly recommended!

Hope springs eternal! I am notoriously inconsistent about tracking my reading, but I love the idea of it, and the feel of a good book tracker too.

Maybe I should embrace a guideline I once heard a YouTube planning blogger extol: if you love planners, lean into that. Change planners every few weeks — it‘s okay! No need to fill one planner, or notebook, or book tracker at a time!

Insanity? Or freedom? 🤔

Stay tuned!

🎄 Have you read any romantasy novels? What‘s your favorite?

Answer in the comments ⬇️ or post and tag 💜

TheBookgeekFrau Not a one 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4d
do-re-mi Sorry, I haven't read any either. 4d
julesG Yes, my latest was very "let's turn the genre on its head". Beauty and the Beast -ish story. He's the damsel, she's possessive. Both have a great character arc. 4d

dabbe I have tried audio many times, and I just can't--unless it's a story I know well. So last December (as I was cleaning before people came over), I listened to A CHRISTMAS CAROL narrated by Tim Curry. I absolutely loved it! His reading was stellar! (of course, then I had to go watch “Sweet Tranvestite“ on YouTube, but that's for another day!) ♥️💙💚 1w
