Thriller about a community where young black males are disappearing and the cops don't seem to care enough to look into what's happening. The story has a few other plots going on as well, such as a homeless man being targeted by the cops, and a young girl being bullied at school.

I loved the book for its stance on racial issues present in today's society, but the writing was a bit dry and predictable.

I was pulled right into this kindle unlimited find about a street lawyer from a prominent family investigating the disappearance of a boy who had a lengthy juvenile record. The twists and turns, both personal and professional, made this compulsively readable. The mystery had me guessing till the resolution; it wrapped up a little too fast and neat, but not so much that it was unbelievable. A pick, and I can‘t wait to read the next in the series.
