pickAbsolutely top drawer. Klein‘s had writer‘s block since about 1985 so the bookstore bookshelves are hardly heaving under the weight of his tomes - but what the hell?! Most writers don‘t even approach the sheer fist-pumping stylistic brilliance of The Ceremonies. Stephen King absolutely and genuinely rates it: which tells you all you need to know. There‘s a short story comp knocking around as well. Fiendishly expensive, though.

Sometimes the used book section on Amazon has wonders...like this first edition of a cult, out of print, classic! The slip cover is a little worn, but the book itself is in fantastic shape - I've wanted to read this work of American folk horror for a while, and am so excited to do so... I'm amazed I found one for less than 20! #bookmail #outofprint #spoops
