Pickpick

Reading this book is like looking at an Escher drawing, every now and then the brain skips a beat when it tries to catch up on the layers: the story in the story, the author addressing the reader, the MC meeting the author etc. All of these perspectives are loosely set around a tragic love story. Even though it's sad, the prose feels incredibly light and very contemporary.... maybe not this particular quote, but in general.
