Helen Keller shows children with disabilities that you can do everything others can do. She brought hope and love to so many disabled people. The UDL that best fits this picture book is 3.1 activate or supply background knowledge along with EL 4 link lesson topics to students prior knowledge. I think it is important to have some kind of background knowledge on Helen Keller before reading her book. Students need to know who she was and what she did. 7y
