This B, IR book is about jazz musician, Mary Lou Williams. It would be great when doing a social studies lesson, or even a great edition to a black history month segment. If your focus is music, you could use this to introduce jazz even. It covers UDL: 3.1, and 7.2 as well as ESOL 4, 28, and 31. I️ found a resource that takes talking about a jazz musician and goes into what jazz itself is.
