Pickpick

How to grow a friend by Sara Gillingham is a must read for young kids! TS-RA.This RF book talks about what it takes to be a good friend and relates it to growing a garden to help the kids relate. The EL strategy I would use is number 4: "Link lesson topic to students' prior knowledge" I would do this by asking the students if they have friends and what they do to make their friends happy. UDL 9.3 " Develop self assessment and reflection"

DrSpalding Be sure to concisely summarize the text. From the front cover I can see that it would be a great book for storytelling and read aloud. Helping students to have positive relationships with their peers is a vital part of your job. 7y
