I‘ve finally finished a book after several months! Between my last year of school, graduating, moving, and my first pregnancy—time has gotten away from me.
This book was a great beginner‘s guide to making better financial decisions. It talks about budgeting, saving, investing, and “dreaming medium”—that is following your dreams while still being realistic and financially wise. Recommend!

Finished this one quickly. It was an easy read with lots of drawings, blurbs and quotes. There was some good financial advice, but some of it was unnecessary to me - such as the section on baking which included recipes. I skipped those. If you‘re looking for a fun, quirky, beginner book on finances as a young adult, I would recommend this one.

I found some great quotes in this book and this one really spoke to me at this time in my life.

“Diversify your sources of happiness”. 💚

The Financial Diet is the book I needed to wrap my brain around the whole scary world of finances and adulting. Even though it is more geared for people in their 20s, some of us in our early 30s need this information, too. It is entirely digestible.

I didnt want to read this at first when my roommate recommended it because I honestly hate the topic of money. It gives me stomachaches. But that's exactly why I ended up loving this book! The design was done in a way that made me want to read it, the topics were discussed in interesting and approachable manners, and I actually felt like some things clicked that I wasn't able to get before.

I loved the book when it focused specifically on financial tips but wasn‘t interested in the somewhat off topic chapters on things like relationships or cooking, for example.

There were a few nuggets of wisdom in here but overall it felt a lot more like a general lifestyle book than a financial primer. I‘m looking to hustle harder at saving for Big Future Life Things while I work two part time jobs in an expensive urban area and this book just wasn‘t that helpful to me specifically. Also, heads up that the illustrations are cute but don‘t translate to the kindle format very well.

I'm not entirely the audience for this book (aimed at women in their early 20s) but wanted to read it because I know zero about handling my money. I'll be totally honest and admit that I let the patriarchy take the wheel on this one due to my anxiety but I'm working to correct that and take a more active role in my financial life. This was a good primer even if none of the info was really new to me.

Getting in some lunchtime reading. Not sure what level of information to expect, but it looked like an interesting book.

One of my biggest goals in managing my anxiety right now is getting a better handle on my finances. It‘s terrifying me. But how else am I ever going to get anywhere in life if I let my anxiety keep me from making healthy money decisions? Time to take a break and do a breathing exercise. Oh boy. #justbreathe

Quasifesto I feel for you. I have GAD and panic disorder. Money can be a triggering subject. Take care of yourself. 6y
