#xmascountdown Day 14

This is the last trip of the season before the ice comes in and the village must help get the priest off the freighter in a tumultuous sea. At the Xmas service the priest has gifts of oranges, candy, and warm clothes. The art is whimsical and reminiscent of Lavallee, who likewise paints Alaska Native people and cultural scenes. But, truthfully the storyline isn‘t as good as the art.
