Her names Moxie. Moxie McCoy. Bold, opinionated, and haplessly self-confident, the worlds greatest fourth-grade detective faces her biggest challenge! When someone kidnaps beloved school mascot Eddie the Owl, Moxie is on the casebut shes forced to fly solo now that her best friend (and crime-solving partner) has moved away. Moxie must interview her classmatesboth as potential new best friends and as possible suspects. She finds clues and points fingers but cant save the owl on her own. Enter Moxies little brother, Milton. Quiet, cautious, and boring as a butter knife, hes a good listener. Can the Real McCoys form an unlikely alliance and solve the crime of the century? Bursting with interactive illustrations on every page, Matthew Swanson and Robbi Behrs The Real McCoys delivers clever storytelling, laugh-out-loud humor, and heartwarming insight. This is the first book in a series. An Imprint Book "Readers will breeze through this ingenious combination of text and art, eager for Moxie and Miltons next case." Pickpick

I‘m not sure English has all the necessary words to describe how awesome & fabulous & downright fun this book is so I‘m just going to make some up. Seriously. This book is the nonstop, stream-of-conscious adventurous ramblings of a hyper kinetic 4th grader solving the mystery of the school‘s stolen owl mascot. Funny story & amazing illustrations—the design of this book is brilliant— make this a great pick for dedicated & reluctant readers alike.

Tamra Sounds fun! Stacked 7y

“Do you know what a dilemma is?”

I nod. I am fairly certain a dilemma is a kind of ferocious desert animal.
