He blames fate. But are we not all accidental, one of his victims asks. Fate and accidents make deep moral dilemmas for the characters in the long and complex tale.
A book about a bizarrly dislikeable family and what they get up to. If you don't mind not liking them, this is funny and well written with some odd situations.
