So in love with this movie, saw it a second time already and will probably go a third 🙊

(A friend of mine posted this still on Instagram first. I wanted to share it here too cuz it‘s great 😁 Her account books.in.films is all characters reading on film!)

TsundokuAleax I laughed so much when I saw him reading that book. 6y

Pickpick

Like protagonist Magdalena, this book inhabits the space in-between; it has some odd, even fantastical elements, but it is also a beautifully-written, incredibly astute, and uninhibited exploration of familial responsibility, love, grief, and moving on after loss. #theshapeofwater #annespollen

Time for some jumping around in the book pile, because I‘m not making as much progress as I‘d like on “And After the Fire,” so I‘m thinking that means I need a little break from it. (I‘m enjoying it, it‘s beautifully-written, but it‘s kind of dense.) Of course, this doesn‘t exactly look light, but...it‘s little. We‘ll see. #theshapeofwater #annespollen
