Definitely a pick though it was a sad book and sometimes a bit of a slow read. The author lives in France and certainly wrote about life there with authenticity. All in all a beautiful book.

Feeling almost panicky about finishing my books so I can start reading new ones 😂 Less than 100 pages left of this one, 92% done with Almost Dead.
There is a tiny foot on my Kindle so I started the other print book I brought, by a very well-known Afrikaans author I'm not sure I've ever read. I read far too little Afrikaans. The title means Quiet Time and it's about a family who have been through some kind of tragedy and are spending a year in Provence fixing up a dilapidated house. Liking it so far.
