I was counting down the months until the end of my deployment. My days were spent working on military vehicles, and I spent my nights playing video games that would distract me until I could leave Staff Sergeant Garrett Reid behind. That was when I met him: Kai Bannon, a fellow gamer with a famous stream channel. I never expected to become fixated on someone who'd initially been a rival. And I'd never expected someone who oozed charm to notice me-a guy known for his brutal honesty and scowl. I hadn't planned for our online friendship to turn into something that kept me up at night-hours of chatting evolving into filthy webcam sessions. But it did. And now I can't stop thinking about him. In my mind, our real life meeting is perfect. We kiss, we fall into bed, and it's love at first sight. Mehso-so

Deployed soldier & video game streamer fall in love online. The gamer has social anxiety & agoraphobia. I liked the story a lot & it would be a pick except the ending resolution was way too fast & tidy & left out details I really wanted to be included. 🕹🕹🕹 #romantsy

STRONG SIGNAL is very much about mutual support. Garrett and Kai each recognize who the other is and what he needs to be his best self. Kai has severe anxiety, and Garrett reconsiders his own behaviour instead of expecting Kai to become someone else. I love this new trend of romances where one partner works to understand the other's mental health needs without an adjustment period of the "oh, this is weird, but I guess I can work through it" kind.

I switched to a long distance gamer romance for the latter part of my Tidying Festival. I'm over halfway through and it's great so far, but I sure hope my family didn't overhear any of the sexy parts. #romantsy #queerbooks

I'm really loving this book. Deployed gamer falls for Twitch (video gamer streaming) celeb over email and gchat. Great tension and emotional story.
