The only reason I didn't give this book a thumbs up was because I don't know if I would read this in a classroom or not. The text is long and probably wouldn't entertain the students.

This book was a really interesting read. I really enjoyed being able to visualize this blizzard on each page of this book through drawn and real life images. The blizzard of 1888 was one of a kind and it is a very amazing story to tell. There are some images that cover the entire page so the reader can really pay attention to the image in a closer view. Very unique take.

This book would be perfect when talking about historical times with the blizzard that happened. I feel like the children would learn a lot of new information about it and also would enjoy hearing the stories of the survivors that faced it.

Blizzard is a wonderful biography written by Jim Murphy in 2000. This story tells about the harsh blizzard that hit Virginia to Maine and affected the life‘s of many citizens. The storm happened in 1888 and survivors are still telling their story. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

This nonfiction book takes place in 1888. It is about the Great Blizzard of 1888 that ranged from Virginia to Maine. It is a riveting story of a region brought to its knees by the three days and nights of hurricane force winds and unrelenting snow. Children will learn about men, women, and children who faced this terror head on.
