pickThis week I'm over at the Skiffy and Fanty Show with a review of IN THE DARK SPACES by Cally Black. This award-winning YA sci-fi horror is a beautifully poignant story that deals with some big issues in an accessible way. Readers should be aware it is a very dark story, but it retains threads of hope and kindness.

This important list of Australian Young Adult novels was announced at the end of last month. I have already read (the top) four, and need to get on to In the Dark Spaces by Cally Black. I am still hunting down the sixth book, which is from a smaller publisher so a bit more difficult to source. #awards #loveozya #cbca #olderreaders btw, the four I read, are all excellent, and come highly recommended.
