Some eight months after the events of Penric and the Shaman, Learned Penric, sorcerer and scholar, travels to Easthome, the capital of the Weald. I‘ve decided to listen to these in chronological order - so this one takes place some months after Penric & the Shaman - and also features Locator Oswyl & Shaman Inglis, all now friends - and quite quickly once again entangled in a murder investigation (on the same side this time)

Different types of magic, murder, old grudges, a fight where someone gets hit with a frying pan & trying to find & save a temple demon. All the good stuff!

peanutnine Sounds fun! 10mo

#notthetaggedbook

New novella release! Masquerade in Lodi. Set after Penric's Fox.

Clare-Dragonfly I didn‘t read the heading and have only read one book in this series so far, but I still knew by the end of the second sentence that this must be Bujold! 3y
esurient @Clare-Dragonfly I really liked this one! Took place chronologically earlier than the last few Penric stories. 3y
Clare-Dragonfly I definitely want to read the whole series! 3y

Earthworms are theologically neutral creatures, as far as I know.
