Thanks to the tagged book, which was truly awful but served its purpose, I‘m down to just 7 books to read for the #litsyatoz2022 challenge. These are the books I‘ve picked to read from my bookshelves to finish them out. Some serve dual purposes: for the #foodandlit2022 and #readingafrica2022 challenges. I‘m loving doing this countdown!

This book was awful. Is it me? 1) I‘m not a man. Is sex all they think about even when a gruesome murder is to be solved? 2) I am not an FBI agent. But I do investigations as a lawyer, and I know not to ask a witness three questions at once without giving the witness a chance to answer even one. 3) do a detective and an FBI agent have no idea how to conduct professional, meaningful dialogue when they first meet? This is a murder mystery, ⬇️

Texreader that requires reading the entire trilogy. No thanks. I finished the first book for the #Litsyatoz challenge, #letterZ. Good enough. 3y

Having finished my ebook this morning I‘ve decided to break from #readingafrica2022 a little bit and work on my #litsyatoz challenge. I only have 8 letters to go, and I always end up reading for #letterZ right at the end of the year. So I thought I‘d throw tradition out the window and read Z now. It doesn‘t have great reviews but it‘s a Z book, which is hard to find, so I‘ll try to stick it out. And hey it was a freebie.

This book wasn‘t the best, but it held my attention to the end - which is good, I guess. I thought the characters were flat and unbelievable, but I am curious as to who the killer is. I don‘t plan to move on to the next book right away, or even any time soon. Perhaps if they go on sale, I‘ll purchase and read the next installment.
