The Panic Hand
The Panic Hand | Jonathan Carroll
2 posts | 1 read | 2 to read
Compared frequently to Shirley Jackson, Stephen King, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Carroll is, in the worlds of Pat Conroy, an absolute original. The Panic Hand assembles in one volume the shorter works of this master, including the World Fantasy Award-winning tale Friend's Best Man and the short novels Uh-Oh and Black Cocktail.

Great collection of short stories. Many of these end leaving some gaps for the imagination, which I really enjoyed. The first is Mr. Fiddlehead, which is also embedded in one of his novels (I forget which). I can‘t think of any story in this collection I didn‘t like, most all good.
