An amazing book about how fixing things and forgiveness are the most powerful gifts we have. Sand wakes up in the Sundered Castle after praying to Saint Melor to get him out of going to University. Sand finds himself in a destroyed castle surrounded by poison thorns and more mysteries than he counted on inside. Well researched and written, I learned about feudal Brittany, blacksmithing and French patron saints!

I'm absolutely HOOKED on this middle grade fantasy story!!! It reads kind of like a video game and has a ton of info about blacksmithing, feudal France and the life stories of several saints which I'd have to check to see if they're real. Still, a compelling story & I love the characters!!!
