I was a huge fan of I Dream of Jeannie, but this memoir really didn‘t make me a bigger fan of Barbara Eden. Some of the behind-the-scenes glimpses and name-drops are interesting (especially her interactions with Lucille Ball) but there wasn‘t much emotional resonance here.
Showing my age. 😜 This is what came to mind immediately for today‘s #emojimadness prompt. @Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck
Couldn't resist this Kindle deal which was quite entertaining, especially if you're a fan of this zany vintage show. Who didn't want the power to blink our troubles away? 😁And who knew Larry Hagman was so disgruntled at playing second fiddle to Jeannie and Barbara. Interesting behind-the-scenes stories with mentions of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and why feminists weren't crazy about the show. Perfect beach read! Barbara is still one classy lady.
Read this in a blink! Just a good book about all of her professional interactions! That Larry Hagman truly was a character!:). If you watched I Dream of Jeannie you will love this!
