Løgneren
Løgneren: Med forord af Jens Albinus | Martin A. Hansen
3 posts | 5 read | 4 to read

5 hours at the Mall of America for the sake of my daughter & friend to have fun in Nickelodeon Universe. I am so very thankful for A. the fact they are old enough now not to require my direct supervision and B. Barnes & Noble is right by one of the entrances! 😅😅

I‘m really looking forward to both of these titles.

TheKidUpstairs I bought The Girls recently, too! How great is that cover?! 3mo
Tamra @TheKidUpstairs who can resist Edward Gorey? 😉 3mo
Aimeesue I have this edition of The Girls because Gorey, but haven‘t read it yet. I should do that soon 😂 3mo
Tamra @Aimeesue I‘m intrigued with the story from the blurb. 😁 3mo

Pickpick

I went from liking to loving this book by the end. A schoolmaster/deacon on a tiny Danish island writes journal entries to an imaginary friend about the goings-on of the island's inhabitants, which gradually becomes a meditation on how best to live a "meaningful life", if such a thing is even possible. Accept what you have or strive for more? I found this story to be deeply affecting.
