The Lipstick Gospel
The Lipstick Gospel: A Story about Finding God in Heartbreak, the Sistine Chapel, and the Perfect Cappuccino | Stephanie Wilson
2 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
Inspired by a broken heart and a wicked hangover, sorority girl Stephanie May Wilson throws in the towel on the life she's been living and packs her bags for a pilgrimage across three continents. Like so many great travelers before her, she finds herself and something completely unexpected along the way. Exploding preconceived notions that Christianity is for grandmas and girls with ugly shoes, The Lipstick Gospel is the story of how one girl found God in heartbreak, the Sistine Chapel, and the perfect cappuccino.

Mehso-so

This is much less book than it is written testimonial which is a shame because there is enough there that it could have been a great book had the author chosen to expand upon her stories and give more detail. Overall it comes across as lacking depth, which mirrors the authors own shallow and privileged world views at the time. It's disappointing because with a title and cover like that I expected this one to DELIVER.
