Ahhhh 😳😳wow! So I bought this because I think I needed one more book to get free shipping .Blurb sounded good , I trust the publisher,Dalkey Archive.Plus like many Littens , trying to read more widely.Born in Yugoslavia, writes in Serbo-Croatian.
Influenced by Bruno Schulz,Nabokov, and Borges.I may be late to the party but he is a real big deal ,evocative and intense. Can‘t wait to read more, never to late to find a “new to you”writer that “wows” you
vivastory Another Dalkey Archive fan! I'm currently reading a fascinating book by a former Dalkey employee. I think you'd love it 6y
The Novel: An Alternative History, 1600-1800
vivastory This is actually the second volume. I read a good portion of the first volume & found it fascinating, but have temporarily abandoned it due to being unwieldy & unavailable as an ebook, thankfully volume 2 is available as an ebook. It's even bigger than the first volume! 6y
batsy Never too late indeed! This writer has been on my radar but haven't read anything yet. Great review. 6y

Liz_M The tagged book is beautifully written. And the writing is similar to B. Schultz -- the dreamy, magical quality. 6y
