He's a scribe looking for answers. If only a cagey--and frustratingly attractive--singer will let him help.Summoned to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, Rhys of Glast, Irin archivist and scribe of Istanbul, must convince a legendary Irina singer to trust him. His success could shift the balance of power all over the Irin world and give singers an important key to their past.Meera didn't call for Rhys's help, and she doesn't need it. The scribe's mission is to bring more martial magic into the Irin world, while Meera has been looking for a path toward peace. She's convinced that some other motive is at work, and his stubborn arrogance doesn't pass for charm in her hallowed opinion.Discovering ancient Irina magic should be something both scholars can agree on, but can these two rivals find any common ground? Neither Rhys nor Meera can ignore the simmering heat between them, but will attraction overcome the caution that has shaped both their lives?THE SEEKER is the seventh book in the Irin Chronicles, a romantic contemporary fantasy series by Elizabeth Hunter, USA Today best-selling author of the Elemental Mysteries.

I'm officially caught up! Now I wish there was more!
Spending my afternoon reading and treating myself gently. My back and hip are hurting today, and I don't want to make it worse. Got all my reading supplies, all I need is a new read! #WhatToReadNext

4/5

I really enjoy this series, and this book did a good job of continuing to expand the mythology. Also, the first scene is set in Houston, which always takes me back to the years I lived in Houston.

I hope this isn't the last book because I still have plenty of questions.

julesG Wait! Book seven? I read the first three (years ago) and thought that it was a trilogy. 5y
sebrittainclark @julesG There's the original trilogy and then 4 spin-offs for all the side characters introduced in the trilogy. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed the first three books, since they really expand on the world building! 5y
julesG Thanks! Sounds like my TBR is growing further. 😉 5y
