Review from #AugustARCs about a month late 🙄🙄🙄

The audiobook of this YA gothic/paranormal fantasy novel was good, but the story was a bit long-winded for my taste. There was too much woe-be-me by the main character Signa. The mysteries were, given I had paid attention from the start, obvious to me.

If you liked Kingdom of the Wicked, you will certainly like this book. After all, it's a story of romance between a not-so-mere mortal and Death.

Christmas #RomCom novella about an English teacher who wants a quiet Christmas. Quiet Christmas turns into Christmas w/ her mother, sister, father+new wife, freeloading ex-bf. To get out of the house she goes on dates organised by a dating app.

Groundhog Day but different.

Jen has to find out why her son murdered a man outside their home. It's not a straight forward investigation, especially since Jen is waking up days before the murder happens.

Interesting concept. I understand why the story is told the way it is, but it made me look for clues intensively and then the twists weren't a surprise anymore.

Erm?! Nope! That's the last book by Hazelwood I've read. It's very similar to her previous novel and novellas; and similar to some other contemporary romance books I've read recently. 🤔

Enemies to lovers - again

Misunderstandings and presumptions galore - cringe worthy especially considering the heroine is supposed to be a STEMinist.

The sex scenes were 😬🙈🤦‍♀️🤬

JamieArc Her plots are all almost exactly alike. Switch out the hair color of the guy and the exact field they are in and it‘s basically the same plot. A little annoying she gets away with doing that. 1mo
