I didn't love this as much as you would expect given that it sees the Seventh Doctor meeting parallel Earth versions of Liz Shaw and the Brigadier and features the Silurians, but it was enjoyable enough and the hook at the end has me intrigued to see where the New Adventures go next.

It's been a very UNIT-centric week for me! First I started Blood Heat, a New Adventures book where the Seventh Doctor teams up with alternate Earth versions of Liz Shaw and the Brigadier. Then I listened to Warlock's Cross, the latest Big Finish audioplay which has that same Doctor crossing paths with the government agency in the 1990s. And today I started watching Terror Of The Autons, a Third Doctor episode featuring UNIT and the Master.

Courtesy of my bullet journal, here are the book series I planned to read further installments of in 2018. Just circled book 2 of both The Craft Sequence and Slough House, and I'm working on another Doctor Who New Adventures book now. We'll see if I get back to the Flavia de Luce Mysteries before 2019 (when I believe Alan Bradley is releasing another volume).

Liz wiped her cardigan sleeve across her face. ‘You could have come back, helped us. Why didn‘t you?‘

The Doctor whispered, ‘I‘m here now, Liz. The one the monsters have nightmares about.‘

‘What?‘

The Doctor pursed his lips thoughtfully. ‘Just something I said once, in my arrogance.‘

Returning to the New Adventures series again and, as is my custom, I have jumped forward to the next installment that caught my eye rather than the next in publication order. This time it's a Ace & Benny story featuring the Silurians!
