Winter of Summers
Winter of Summers | Michael Faudet
6 posts | 6 read | 3 to read
Michael Faudets latest book explores the fine line between love and loss, the fragility of relationships, self-empowerment, and social commentary. Every page taking the reader to a world of conflicting emotions, where nothing is what it seems and beautiful dreams come to life. All exquisitely captured in a thought-provoking collection of poetry, prose, and short stories.

Another strong set of poetry and short prose from Faudet. There's not a lot of Litsy love for this one - but I actually liked it more than his last one. I suppose his works aren't for everyone - they're raw, sometimes graphic, and often quite erotic. What can I say? I'm a Faudet fan!

I read this for the poetry published after 2014 category for the #ReadHarder challenge - it was...ok? Some of the poems were good, and a few of the short stories (essays?) were ok, but some of the poems were just...sentences? Maybe I just didn‘t get it?
