There is so much information packed into this #graphicnovel about the five senses! The story: a woman gets zapped by her virtual reality invention & ends up on a journey through the body with various scientist & animal guides along the way. Kind of like the movies Inside Out & Fantastic Voyage.

Lindy @gradcat I am a graphic novel proselytizer. Pictorial narrative is such a pleasure. Better than a movie because you can proceed through each frame at your own pace and rewind easily. 5y

The characters leading Diane through her body‘s various sense receptors are based on historical scientific figures. The notes at the back of the book explain that the one pictured above is inspired by Marcello Malpighi (1628-1694).
