Pickpick

I finished Volume 2 of The History of the Four Georges, as a LibriVox audiobook. I knew very little about the details of the first half of the 18th century in Great Britain and learned a lot from this. There is a bit of social and cultural history but it‘s mainly old school political/“great men” stuff. Good for a framework of who did what when though! And I started right in to volume 3–George III, much more familiar ground.

A History of the Four George is my current “falling asleep” listen—a book that is interesting enough to listen to while trying to fall asleep (and distracts from the anxious thoughts that want to come in when I try to sleep) but not soooo interesting that I stay awake. History books hit the sweet spot for me, and Librivox has a ton! This one will take a while because I actually want to hear it all! And I‘m only on Volume 1 of 4!
