Not a bookish post, but just wanted to say Happy Chinese New Year tomorrow 🥳 🎉 ! Nice time at work today with one of my coworkers who is from Taiwan. And these two are long-time friends since I was a kid from my hometown of Punxsutawney. They make the best Chinese food—I‘m partial, I grew up with it, I can‘t help it, lol. 😁

Crazeedi Punxy??!!! You lived close to where I live!! So cool, and you had Phil too! Lol 3y
Crazeedi And is this restaurant still in Punxy? I'm so hungry for good Chinese! 3y
MrBook @Crazeedi , after his one son and I graduated high school together, he moved the business to Dubois 🙂👍🏻. Where do you live?! 3y
Crazeedi @MrBook Dubois is even closer to me!! I live between Emlenton and Knox!! 3y
Crazeedi I need to go to this restaurant 3y

#lovenotes or more known as #loveletters are very popular during Chinese New Year. These romantic pastries were used by lovebirds to communicate in olden times. "The edible nature of the messages ensured the absence of proof and consumption of the heartfelt message was also seen as a sign that the lover‘s words had been taken to heart."
